Predator Cobalt Metric Jobber Drill Bit Set
The PREDATOR Metric Cobalt Jobber Drill Bit Set includes 25 metric sizes from 1mm through 13mm in 0.5mm increments. Designed for metalworking, equipment maintenance, and fabrication, it provides a complete metric range for drilling new holes, replacing fasteners, and general shop repairs.
Cobalt high-speed steel provides greater heat resistance than conventional HSS, helping the cutting edges hold up during demanding drilling operations. A 135° split point helps reduce walking and promotes accurate starts. Jobber-length construction provides reach for general-purpose drilling.
Predator Cobalt jobber bits for hard metals where HSS fades. Premium cobalt drill bits handles work-hardened material. The 135° split point starts fast and stays on center.
Popular for drilling out rivets. Solid choice for hard-metal work in the shop or on the floor.
Applications
- Steel fabrication: Drilling brackets, plates, and metal components.
- Stainless steel work: Maintenance and fabrication with appropriate speed, feed, and cutting lubricant.
- Equipment repair: Metric drilling for machinery, automotive parts, and mechanical assemblies.
- Rivet removal: Drilling rivet heads with the correctly matched bit diameter.
- Tough-metal drilling: Applications that require greater heat resistance than conventional HSS.

Drilling Guidance
Use a rigid setup, secure the workpiece, and select speed and feed for the material and drill diameter. When drilling stainless steel, maintain a cutting feed and avoid letting the drill rub or dwell, which can contribute to work hardening. Use an appropriate cutting lubricant.
Suitability for hardened or work-hardened material depends on its actual hardness. Cobalt drills are not a universal substitute for carbide in fully hardened steel.
